Nature-inspired colours, particularly greens and warm neutrals, foster a sense of grounding and clarity. Mitu Mathur shared, “Shades like soft sage and moss green bring a refreshing touch of nature indoors, helping employees feel centred and engaged. Whether through furnishings, feature walls, or biophilic elements like moss walls, these tones reinforce a connection to natural rhythms.”

Colours for openness or depth and contrast

To maintain openness, Mitu Mathur recommended, “Off-white combined with warm undertones serves as a neutral backdrop, while keeping the workspace bright and welcoming. Similarly, light grey and warm beige create a foundation of elegance and balance, blending seamlessly with pastels. These colours soften the space without feeling stark or heavy.”

For depth and contrast, she suggested, “Terracotta and charcoal grey provide grounding elements, adding visual interest without overpowering. Terracotta’s earthy warmth works well in breakout zones, while charcoal grey enhances focus in executive spaces.”
