Italian design at the Paris Olympics

Casa Italia is also the home of design during the Paris 2024 Olympics. Furnishings, lights, projects and works of art are at the centre of a special place, open to the public for the first time.

Casa Italia Paris 2024 was inaugurated on Saturday, the space that will welcome the athletes of the Italia Team and their guests during the XXXIII Olympic Games in Paris. For the first time, the public can access Casa Italia and immerse themselves in an exhibition, scenographic and emotional journey, in which the protagonists are art, architecture and design, with an all-round project entitled Ensemble.

For Paris 2024, Casa Italia has developed at Le Pré Catelan – a building immersed in the Bois de Boulogne, the largest park in the city a few steps from the Champs-Élysée, where on the evening of June 23, 1894, the dinner desired by Baron Pierre de Coubertin took place to celebrate the birth of the Olympic Games of the modern era – in a contemporary place with a strong vocation for hospitality. The building is divided into various rooms flooded with light, thanks to the numerous windows and the garden that surrounds it, and these days it sees “Italian-style” incursions, ranging from typical landscape essences to works of art, designer furnishings and interiors inspired by those of the great masters of the 20th century.
